Meet the Students Leading KSVT this Year

Each school year, a new group of high school students lead our team’s work and join the board of directors as previous student members continue to guide and advise as they enter college and careers as senior advisors.

As we head back to school this fall, a new group of high school students across the Commonwealth are stepping up to the plate to lead Kentucky Student Voice Team’s policy, storytelling and research teams that together help advance our mission of co-creating more just and democratic Kentucky schools and communities.

Formed in 2012, this annual transition of passing down power to new students and retaining the knowledge and wisdom of past student leaders on our board and as an advisory role has played a key role in organizational sustainability for KSVT. This intergenerational approach is unique to most organizations and ensures our work continues year after year as young people. We are thankful for the former KSVT members who continue to share their time and talents by serving on our board of directors and/or senior advisory.
