Bio

Michelle Zheng is a senior at Elizabethtown Independent High School in Hardin County, Kentucky. She is an active member of the research and storytelling team and a named plaintiff in KSVT v. Commonwealth of Kentucky. Passionate about elevating minority voices across Kentucky, she advocates for change through journalism, policy reform, and civic engagement. Outside of school, Michelle holds leadership roles in Beta Club, FBLA, Environmental Club, and Young Democrats. In her community, she serves as a teen court defense attorney, ensuring youth offenders have their stories heard by a peer jury. In her free time, she enjoys acrylic painting, watching movies, and analyzing political commentary.
