Bio
Peter Jefferson is a student at Henry Clay High School in Lexington. I am a passionate advocate of public education, and I have been heavily influenced by my public education from kindergarten onward. I plan to pursue a career in public health and epidemiology, focusing on how public health inequalities have shaped the modern landscape of public health, particularly in resource-scarce areas.
Education has always been a passion of mine and I first learned about advocacy and policy by peaking over my parents' shoulders at the newspaper to see what Congress was up to. Since then, I've become further engaged and interacted with many of my peers who feel that together, we can make an impact on those same leaders we see in the news every day.
